Hamilton Professorship
Dr. Ralph S. Hamilton, Professor of Ophthalmology and Methodist ophthalmologist, has given $1 million to establish an endowed professorship in ophthalmology in the UT, Memphis College of Medicine. The endowed chair was awarded to Barrett G.Haik, MD.
Dr. Hamilton stated, "My wife, Barbara, and I are doing this in
memory of my parents, J. Ralph Hamilton, M.D. and Helen S. Hamilton,
to whom I'm extremely indebted." The gift is also given in honor of
the Hamilton children, Ralph F. Hamilton, MD, Warren H. Hamilton, MD, and Helen H. Laurenzi, all graduates of UT.
